Adventist-laymen’s Services & Industries (ASI), a membership-based organization within the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) is advocating for the creation of an Adventist Business Owners' Registry. This centralized database aims to bring together Seventh-day Adventist business owners within the Caribbean region, fostering collaboration and mutual support. Here are three compelling reasons behind this initiative that we have provided below.
Firstly, the registry would serve as a hub for connecting Adventist entrepreneurs across various industries. By providing a comprehensive directory, it facilitates networking opportunities, enabling businesses to collaborate, share resources, and strengthen the economic fabric within the Adventist community.
Secondly, a centralized registry offers a platform for businesses to align with and actively support church initiatives. Whether it's participating in community outreach programs or contributing to educational endeavours, businesses can more effectively coordinate their efforts, maximizing their impact on the mission of the church.
Finally, a registry encourages the Adventist Church to prioritize intra-church trade. By being aware of fellow Adventist businesses, individuals within the community can choose to support enterprises that share common values. This not only bolsters the economic well-being of Adventist entrepreneurs but also reinforces a sense of community and shared mission.
In essence, the Adventist Business Owners' Registry proposed by ASI is more than a database; it's a strategic tool to enhance collaboration, support church initiatives, and foster a thriving network of businesses aligned with the Seventh-day Adventist ethos.
If you are an Adventist business owner we encourage you to join the ASI; contact the local ASI chapter and learn more about this initiative.
