The global Seventh-day Adventist community is preparing for the 62nd General Conference Session, set to take place from July 3 to 12, 2025, at the America’s Centre Convention Complex in St. Louis, Missouri. This pivotal gathering, themed “Jesus is Coming, I Will Go!”, will bring together church leaders, delegates, and members from around the world to worship, reflect, and make key decisions that shape the future of the Church.
Representing Trinidad and Tobago, the President, Executive Secretary, and Treasurer of the South Caribbean Conference will be in attendance, alongside other appointed delegates and members of the Adventist Church across the nation. The Session will feature business meetings, worship services, training events, and ministry showcases, all designed to strengthen the Church’s spiritual and organisational foundation. As leaders are elected and global initiatives are reviewed, members are encouraged to remain vigilant in prayer, seeking God’s guidance and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit throughout the proceedings.
The General Conference Session is the highest governing body of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, held every five years to make key decisions that shape the global direction of the denomination. It functions as both a spiritual convocation and a business meeting, where delegates from around the world gather to elect church leaders, vote on changes to the Church Manual and Fundamental Beliefs, and receive reports from each of the 13 world divisions.
The Session ensures that leadership is representative and accountable, with at least 50% of delegates being laypersons, pastors, teachers, and non-administrative employees from diverse backgrounds. The General Conference Session is where the Adventist Church reaffirms its identity, renews its mission, and seeks divine guidance for the years ahead. Let us unite in faith, praying that the will of God be manifest in every decision and that His message continues to reach hearts across the globe.
