The Celebration of Ordination to Gospel Ministry

The South Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists held an ordination service to honour and anoint new pastors into Gospel Ministry.

This event, filled with joy and spiritual reverence, was held on the 14th December 2024 and live-streamed from the University of the Caribbean, allowing the community to extend their congratulations and blessings.

Among the newly ordained pastors were Pastor Micah Johnson, Pastor Adrian Forbs, Pastor Gideon St. Bryce, Pastor Hilary Venton Charles, and Pastor Stephenson Hall. The online community joined in the celebration, with heartfelt messages of encouragement and prayers for the pastors' ministries.

The service was marked by expressions of gratitude and well-wishes and many offered their congratulations to all the pastors, asking for God's continued blessings on their journey.

The ordination of ministers in the Adventist Church is a practice rooted in biblical principles and the mission of the Church. It serves as a formal recognition and affirmation of an individual's calling by God to pastoral and ministerial duties. This sacred ceremony involves a laying on of hands, symbolizing the bestowal of the Holy Spirit and the church's support for the ordained minister.

The process of ordination underscores the importance of dedicated, spiritually grounded leaders who are equipped to guide congregations, preach the gospel, and administer sacraments. Through ordination, ministers are set apart for a life of service, commitment, and spiritual leadership.

As the newly ordained pastors embark on their spiritual journey, we pray that all members support them as they share the message of hope and salvation.
