Sabbath, June 24th, 2023, marked a significant occasion at the Sangre Grande Seventh-day Adventist Church as four ministerial families were ordained to Gospel Ministry. The event was graced by the presence of the Caribbean Union Conference's President, Dr. Kern Tobias, Field Secretary Dr. Clive Dottin and other distinguished officials. Heartfelt official greetings were extended by President of the Conference, Ps Leslie Moses.

The ordination ceremony was a celebration of dedication, commitment, and service to the church and the wider community. The newly ordained ministers, their families, and attendees witnessed a momentous event that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the congregation and beyond.

The ministers who were ordained were:

  • Pastor Jason Ronn Charles and Chantel Charles who has served a remarkable nine years of Advent Ministry. They have been diligently serving in the Guiaco District.
  • Pastor Morgavy Gittens and Crystal Allicock: Originally from St. Lucia, Pastor Gittens has dedicated over 8 years to ministry. He is currently assigned to the Valencia District.
  • Pastor Joseph Mahadeo: A unique blend of medical doctor and minister, he serves in the Febeau district, embodying the essence of holistic care.
  • Pastor Wayne Jeffrey and Stephanie Jones: Pastor Jeffrey, known for his dedicated service in various levels of the church and as a chaplain of the Community Hospital, currently holds the position of Youth Director of the Conference.

In his address, Dr. Kern Tobias emphasized the virtues of humility, unwavering commitment, and the embodiment of 'loving obedience' to God as pivotal traits for these ministers to possess. The occasion served as a testament to the power of service, dedication, and faith, inspiring not only those ordained but also the entire congregation.

As these ministerial families embark on their journey of leadership and guidance, the congregation and the community at large extend heartfelt congratulations and well-wishes. May their efforts be blessed by the Almighty as they continue to spread God's word and exemplify the teachings of Jesus through their actions and service.
