The Planned Giving and Trust Services Department of the Caribbean Union (CARU) recently convened for its Advisory and Convention event in the island of St. Lucia. The program spanned from the 14th to the 17th of September 2023, drawing attendees from across the Union.
Led by Dr. Gandalal Samlasingh, Director of Planned Giving and Trust Services for CARU, the Advisory and Convention proved to be an essential gathering for the Church. The main presenter was Dennis Carlson, General Conference Planned Giving and Trust Services Director. Notably, this event marked the first Advisory for our own Pastor Eddie Williams, who was recently elected as Director in SCC's Conference Session in August 2023.
The sessions held during the event were both relevant and reformative, addressing crucial matters within the realm of Planned Giving and Trust Services. The presence of Planned Giving and Trust Services Directors from various sub-entities within CARU added depth and diversity to the discussions.
A photo session captured the Field Directors who lead this effort in their respective conferences and missions. Pictured from the front left to right and back were the conference and missions Field Directors as follows:
- Pr. Roger Stephen, President of SLU (St. Lucia)
- Priscilla Stephen
- Eld Dennis Carlson, PGtD Director at GC (General Conference)

- Dr. Frankie Noel from GrenC (Grenada)
- Pr. Rawl Jackman representing ECC (Eastern Caribbean Conference)

- Pr. Edison Williams of SCC (South Caribbean Conference)
- Tabitha de Leon-David, CARU Administrative Assistant
- Pr. Noel Schultz from Guyana

The Advisory and Convention not only facilitated insightful discussions but also strengthened the bonds among those dedicated to advancing planned giving and trust services in the Caribbean Union. It is expected that the outcomes of this gathering will further enhance the department's commitment to its mission within the region.
