The streets of Arima came alive with the spirit of service and unity as the Men's Ministries Department of the South Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventists held its annual "Boots on the Ground" march on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This initiative drew well over 100 participants, alongside the support of the Pathfinder Marching Band and the USC Marching Band.

Despite initial concerns about the weather, the skies cleared by mid-afternoon, allowing members to not only distribute tracts but also engage with onlookers through short prayers. The march commenced at 3:00 PM from the Arima Seventh-day Adventist Church and ended at the west side of the Arima Velodrome near the bus depot, where a rally was held to conclude the afternoon's activities.

The event saw support from the Trinidad and Tobago Police, ensuring the nearly one-hour march proceeded smoothly along the bustling streets of Arima. Marchers carried placards bearing messages such as "A real man never gives up," "A real man has attained economic maturity," "A real man always stands for the right," "Stop the gun violence," and "Jesus is coming soon." These powerful slogans resonated with the community, reinforcing the positive impact of the march.

The day concluded with a rally, where words of hope and prayers were shared with those in the surrounding areas. This event highlighted the critical role that Men's Ministries and leadership play in the broader mission of the Adventist Church, fostering spiritual growth, community engagement, and moral guidance.

Men's Ministry and leadership are essential components of Adventist Ministry, nurturing a strong foundation for community service and spiritual development. This annual event serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Men's Ministries Department in lighting the path for a brighter future.
