44th Conference Session of South Caribbean Conference Concludes with Leadership Adjustments

The South Caribbean Conference of Seventh Day Adventists successfully concluded its 44th Conference Session on August 12th, 2023. The event was held at the University of the Southern Caribbean Auditorium from August 9 to 12, 2023. A warm reception awaited the esteemed delegates, elected officers, directors, executive committee members, and distinguished guests who graced the occasion, as the University community opened its doors to host this momentous session.

The culmination of the session marked an important juncture where leadership and director adjustments were proposed and subsequently voted upon. Notable outcomes included the re-election of Pastor Leslie Moses as President and Dr. Yvette Peters as Treasurer. Pastor Wayne Andrews was elected as the Executive Secretary, rounding out the Conference Leadership for the next four (4) years.

Key recommendations and decisions outlined in the final nominating committee report included the following assignments:

  1. Women's Ministries & Children and Adolescents' Ministries: Ps. Ruslyn Baptiste-Farfan
  2. Communications, Stewardship, and Trust Services: Ps. Eddison Williams
  3. Health Ministries: Victoria De Coteau
  4. ADRA: Referred to the Executive Committee
  5. Sabbath School: Deborah Ferreira
  6. Prayer Ministries: Ps. David Holder
  7. Family Life and Men's Ministries: Albert Brathwaite
  8. Education: To be appointed by the Executive Committee
  9. Publishing Ministries: To be appointed by the Executive Committee
  10. Personal Ministries & Community Services: Ps. Nigel Walcott
  11. PARL: Executive Secretary
  12. Ministerial Secretary: Ps. David Holder
  13. ASI: President
  14. Youth: Wayne Jeffrey
  15. Personal Ministries and Community Services: Nigel Walcott
